Questions for the Reef, before contract
Our stay, in brief
- We are planning to stay at the Reef from 9th March 2027 through to 19th March 2027.
- We expect around half our guests will stay between the 11th and the 14th, with some opting to extend beyond the 14th.
- We can confidently commit to a minimum of 10 rooms booked by our guests between the 11th and 14th March 2027, and anticipate more.
- Our bridal party alone will need 13 rooms, guaranteed from the 11th to the 14th, inclusive of us.
- We would like our guests to be able to book and manage their own rooms directly with the Reef, rather than through us.
- We would like the discounted rate to apply for a reasonable period before and after the wedding, so guests who choose to extend their stay can keep the same rate.
- The bride and groom may need to transition room type during the stay: Premier Seaview w/ Balcony from the 9th to the 11th, Two-Bedroom Suite from the 11th to the 14th, and Premier Seaview from the 14th to the 19th.
- Since our ceremony and reception will also be held at the resort, could our full stay (9th to 19th March) be included in the group rate block, regardless of exact nightly occupancy from the bridal party? We want to avoid a situation where we are paying published rate on some of our nights just because the 10 room minimum is not met on that specific night.
- If guests book and pay directly with the Reef via the individual payment links, can the group rate still apply automatically for their stay, including any extension before or after the 11th to 14th core period, without us needing to manage or approve each booking?
- Can you share a copy of the contract you suggested so we can review?
- If we end up with fewer than 10 rooms booked by the time of the event, what happens to the group rate we have already secured, and is there a cutoff date for us to confirm final numbers?
- Since only 2 units each remain of the Reef Suite and Two Bedroom Suite, and they are bridal reserved, can you hold these specifically for us pending contract signature? By what date would you need that confirmed?
- What is the deadline for us to submit guest names and contact details for the individual payment links, relative to when the contract needs to be signed?
- Is the room type transition described above (Premier Seaview w/ Balcony, then Two-Bedroom Suite, then Premier Seaview) feasible to arrange, and are there any concerns with this approach, for example turnaround time between rooms or a change in rate treatment for each segment?
